Ten women will take part in an epic three-month voyage snorkeling across the freezing Arctic seas starting in July 2016. The 100-day, 3,000-kilometre journey from Pond Inlet, Nunavut to Inuvik, N.W.T. will document global warming’s effects on the Arctic ecosystem and how it has changed the aboriginal people’s lives in the North. Before that journey, the group will first make a 15-day expedition from July 13-28, 2014 to perform oceanic research using a remotely operated vehicle to travel along the Labrador coast to the southeastern side of Baffin Island and over to Disko Bay, Greenland.
