David R. Gray
The objective of the "Desperate Ventures" project is to search for,
document and map the camps and caches of an illegal and almost forgotten expedition to Banks Island in 1931-1932 and to photograph
or recover any documents, film, or other perishable items of historical value left in the camps or caches. At the same time, any
caches and camps of the 1913-1918 Canadian Arctic Expedition located will also be investigated.

The Summits of Canada – an expedition to climb the highest peaks in all provinces and territories. “Welcome to an historic expedition to tell Canadians and the world about Canada. The legacy of this quest is not the footprints we will leave on the mountains, but the impact on people’s lives. Together we can make a difference, one step at a time.”
— James Coleridge, Expedition Leader,
Summits of Canada
