Can Geo Talks 2016: Conversations with Wade Davis
On Saturday, November 5th, at 2pm, The Royal Canadian Geographical Society is proud to be partnering with the Royal Ontario Museum, in featuring a talk by celebrated author, photographer and RCGS Honorary Vice President, Wade Davis, as part of the Museum’s ROM Connects series.
As part of his talk, Wade will present slides of images taken from his new book, “Wade Davis: Photographs”, a remarkable collection which showcases 150 of Davis’ favourite photographs from the thousands he has taken during his esteemed forty-year career. These intimate portraits of family and community life tell the story of the human condition across the globe: from sacred tribal initiations, to love songs sung by warriors on mountaintops, to silent contemplation in ancient temples. Photographs from nineteen different regions follow the fascinating daily lives of peoples across the world.
This public event will be free with a ROM admission, and RSVPs will be taken by the Museum in advance shortly. Please stay tuned to find out how you can reserve a ticket.
